Lei Lolohea was born and raised in Long Beach, California until her family moved to West Jordan, Utah during her teenage years when she started high school. She is a West Jordan High alumni, part of the graduating class of 2006. She received a full ride scholarship to play basketball at Division 2 Brigham Young University of Hawaii in 2007-2010.

In 2011 she transferred to a Division 1 school in Eugene, Oregon where she completed her eligibility of basketball and had the opportunity of being an undergraduate assistant for the Women’s Basketball team and that same year she threw shot put for the Track and Field team as well. 

After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies in Business and a minor in Counseling, she followed her dreams and played professionally overseas in Germany for two seasons. After facing family tragedies, she returned home and helped out the West Jordan girls’ basketball team by being an assistant coach.

 

In 2016 she was named the Girls’ Basketball head coach and also earned her teaching degree in Special Education. Where she continues to
